Appearance-based trackers had a significant improvement during the last decade, however they are still struggling with some challenges that are not addressed completely so far. Tackling background clutter, abrupt changes in target movement, sudden illumination changes and varying scale of the target are the main design goal for many approaches, while occlusion are often left aside due to its complexity. We proposed an occlusion aware Bayesian framework which deals with occlusion in a way that search area for occluded object expands rapidly, that grants trajectory independence and quick occlusion recovery to the algorithm. Furthermore the algorithm employs multiple cues from color and depth domains to have a robust result against illumination changes and clutter. The Bayesian framework is modified in a way to accommodate this probabilistic fusion. Applied to Princeton RGBD Tracking dataset, the performance of our method is discussed and compared with the state-of-the-art trackers. Keyword occlusion handling, RGBD particle filter, multiple cues

Multi-Modal Face Tracking Using Bayesian Network
This paper presents a Bayesian network based multimodal fusion method for robust and real-time face tracking. The Bayesian network integrates a prior of second order system dynamics, and the likelihood cues from color, edge and face appearance. While different modalities have different confidence scales, we encode the environmental factors related to the confidences of modalities into the Bayes...
متن کاملA novel object tracking algorithm by fusing color and depth information based on single valued neutrosophic cross-entropy
Although appearance based trackers have been greatly improved in the last decade, they are still struggling with some challenges like occlusion, blur, fast motion, deformation, etc. As known, occlusion is still one of the soundness challenges for visual tracking. Other challenges are also not fully resolved for the existed trackers. In this work, we focus on tackling the latter problem in both ...

A robust and fast automatic moving object detection and tracking system is essential to characterize target object and extract spatial and temporal information for different functionalities including video surveillance systems, urban traffic monitoring and navigation, robotic, medical imaging, etc. A reliable detecting and tracking system is required to generalize across huge variations in obje...
متن کاملDynamic Integration of Generalized Cues for Person Tracking
We present an approach for the dynamic combination of multiple cues in a particle filter-based tracking framework. The proposed algorithm is based on a combination of democratic integration and layered sampling. It is capable of dealing with deficiencies of single features as well as partial occlusion using the very same dynamic fusion mechanism. A set of simple but fast cues is defined, which ...
متن کاملA multimedia content modeling and classification methodology using visual information for the protection of sensitive user groups
The thesis concerns the problems of visual tracking and violence detection in video sequences. For the visual tracking problem, two feature fusion frameworks are presented. For violence detection, a system that classifies movie segments as violent or non-violent is proposed. The first tracking framework called ’Model Fusion via Proposal’ (MFP) framework, provides a way to efficiently fuse visua...
